Job Situation Update

Things are starting to happen! Yesterday afternoon Old Navy called and offered me a position for just above minimum wage - this is fantastic! Not only is it a stepping stone in the job world (by stepping stone I mean SOMETHING to keep me busy and bring in a little mulah) but in my interviewing process I was told that they hardly ever start anyone over minimum wage! :) So, praise the Lord with me that I am now employed! Now, I am not sure, yet, how many hours I will be getting - I am hoping for at least around 25 each week to start. This is a part time position, so they will not be able to put me much over 25hr/wk., I understand.

I had a wonderful interview with Medline yesterday morning. This branch of Medline Industries is the customer service call center - family owned and managed by a Christian woman who's philosophy is that employees who are treated well will work hard and do well for the company, as well as impacting as many as possible for Christ. This job starts much higher than minimum wage and is full time with benefits - all things I was hoping for in a job. Anyway, I went in and met a member of the HR dept. and she sat down with me and told me how the next couple hours would go: assessment test, sit by (this is where I sat with two different customer service reps and saw what they did  and was able to listen in on the conversations they were having with customers), and then for the remainder of my time there I would be interviewed by a group of management. Overall, the interview was great - I can definitely see myself doing this job. The people are incredibly nice and it seems like a really positive environment to work in. At this point, I am hoping to be called back for an interview with the manager. And after that to be offered a job. I was told that there is a class starting for the newest hires later in October where new employees are trained and coached in the different areas of expertise that will be required of them. Anyway, I'm hoping that I will be hired and a part of this class!

Please continue to pray with me that I will yield myself to the Lord and that I will rest in the truth that all things will happen according to His plan and in His timing. To the praise of His glorious grace!
