I love what the weather is doing. It's getting cooler, more wet, and in it's own sopping way, more beautiful. I have never been sad at the change in seasons. I love Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer - I am so glad God made the weather to shift and change like it does. Praise the Lord! And right now, my favorite season is: FALL. I absolutely love it when it's raining and I can fall asleep to the pitter-patter of rain drops on the roof. It is so exciting, tantalizing, soothing. That's what I'll be doing tonight, sleeping to the sound of the rain. Mmm.
Nic and Amy and I went for a walk yesterday afternoon. We went a different way, down an alley in Edmonds, and through toward the north end of Sunset where we sat on a bench and watched the sun set. It was beautiful, and the sun was doing some crazy things, we were impressed. It was just the right temperature. I love it being so cool outside where we can go out in sweatshirts or coats!
This week has started out much better than the last. I was able to fore go doing any ortho today. Hooray! Although, tomorrow, I will have to face the music. God help me! The cases today were easy: Lap Inguinal Hernia Repair (left and right), Lap Chole, EGD, and a partial Gastrectomy.
I started to make some cookies yesterday - in order to finish baking them today. They're the kind that have to be refrigerated overnight. Chocolate Crinkle Cookies. Mmmm, or so I thought! They didn't turn out just right :) Oh well, I'll try again...some other time. They taste great, just they're flat.
I love Nic to pieces. He and I are enjoying each other extra these last few days. It's so great how I think I loved Nic the most ever, but I love him more and more everyday. We're coming up on our one year anniversary. November 3 :) Less than a month away!! We really can't believe it. The Lord has been so good to us and we anticipate His goodness in the years to come. Blessed be His Name.
ok, so never title any of your future blogs things like "pitter-patter" unless you have some real news. I thought you were announcing a baby was on the way. (ya know, the pitter-patter of little feet?) Gosh!
ReplyDeleteI love fall too. I am anxious to spend some winter days in Seattle this Christmas!
