This past weekend was incredible! Our church retreat was exactly what it should have been. I think it was really what our church needed to catch the vision that has been portrayed to us the past - I don't know - months/year. We were able to meet a lot of people that we'd seen a hundred times at church, but had never met there, or had only shared our names in the 10 second hand shaking time before the service. We're definitely hyped to get to know all these people better and incorporate our lives with theirs more and more. Nic and I are really excited to be a great part of our church community and be more intent to follow the Lord's lead in our lives in this capacity. We are really thankful for such Godly leaders, too. Praise the Lord for true disciples of Christ that we can learn so much from and be incredibly encouraged by!
We had a lot of fun this weekend even though it rained... Nic and I shared a twin bed (we registered super late so we took what we could get! Sure beats sleeping in a tent when it's raining!). And I never mind snuggling with my good looking husband :) Noelle Stolle was baptized on Saturday! She is so sweet. It's really exciting to see her taking her faith seriously and declaring her love for her Lord in front of all those people who love her so much.
After the retreat was over we went home to shower, then headed over to Collin & Amber's house. Married couples can babysit, too! :) We had a great time hanging out with Reese, Dallas, Ava and Norah - Those kids are the best! And we can't complain about cheese pizza and popsicles :)
