Through The Bible Journey

We are almost a full week into our 90 day Bible challenge and are feeling the challenge every day! It has been a lot of reading - and the benefits have been felt so much already. It is so exciting to be reading and come to a portion of a story and realize that I actually know what is being referred to and can remember when the last time was that we "were in that place" from a handful of chapters ago. We are also discovering the fluidity of the stories we learned years ago as children in Sunday School - that they all belong together and make perfect sense when they're read in conjunction with the others! This may sound like an elementary revelation, but having God's Word opened up that much more to our hearts has not only impacted our preconceived ideas about Scripture, but I can tell in our interaction with each other and those around us that our minds are being challenged and renewed in a way that is most definitely having a profound effect on who we are.

We are 28 chapters into Exodus so far, and I think tomorrow we'll be starting Leviticus....and then on to Numbers!!! ;)

For those of you journeying with us - continue to look heavenward and find rest for your souls in God's Word! We pray that it is not a burden (the huge amount of chapters each day), but rather, a pure joy to sit at the feet of God.

Couponing is All About Discovering Deals and Sharing Them

We have plenty of cereal right now, and my sister was over while I was cutting coupons this afternoon, and we discovered this great deal! We were both pretty excited and now she is thinking of starting to use coupons, too!

At Albertson's:
$1.99 a box for Raisin Bran (and others...this is just what she'll use it for)
IP $1.50/2 Kellog's Cereal
Doubler up to $1
Final Price: $.74 each

And this is great for Amy since she'd normally pay at least $1.99 a box...if she caught it on sale! :)

Yay!

Practicing with Cereal

I just thought I'd practice stacking with this cereal "sale" at Cost Cutters.
There is a coupon in the Cost Cutters circular:
Kellog's Cereal 1.99/each : limit 2
and a IP from coupons.com for $1.50/1
Final Price: $1.24/each
That doesn't seem too bad to me...
(The "stockpile" price that the A-Team gave us was
$.50 per box or less,
so it looks like I'd better keep practicing!)

Treasured in my Heart

Nic and I...and perhaps others near to us are going to read through the Bible in 90 days. This is quite the journey we're embarking on. We're starting Monday. I'm fully expecting and praying for a deepened knowledge of the Word and a renewed mind for the hours spent soaking in the good, good Word. I have read through the Bible once before - when I was attending Emmaus - over a ten month period. I'm really excited. I'm hoping and praying that God will rekindle my love for His Word and draw me to my knees before Him in a special way. I will sit at His feet and take it all in...Would you like to join us?

Edit: Please, please, join us - I will do another post with the plan!

Clean My Face

I got this for my birthday from my Meyer parents - I can't wait to start using it!
The especially cool thing about this is that my face has been being super temperamental, plus the weather this time of year sure takes a toll on my skin...
