Two Week's Notice

...I gave two months notice, Nic gave two weeks...just a testimony to the difference in work environment and management, I suppose. Or, really, the need to hire someone to fill my position was going to take two months or more, whereas the situation with Nic's work was more of a "We needed to lay someone off, so this makes things easier on us." (not that it would have been Nic, but you get the jist). All that to say -

We only have TWO WEEKS LEFT of work! Nic's last day is the third and mine is the fourth! We are extremely excited to be finishing up and have the time and energy to put into preparing better for directing summer staff...

Good news today - after two years of the Focus' "check engine" light being on, it's finally resolved and OFF! Nic did some troubleshooting over the weekend and bought a replacement part and put it in Saturday and today on our way home from lunch after church the light turned off! This was such a relief to us both, and now I can go get my emissions test and not FAIL! ...that was an embarrassing event last week :-/ This all came to a head since I need to get my tabs for the car by the end of this month and this time around I had to take the emissions test...

Anyway...I'm excited for a day off tomorrow. I'll be meeting Emily at Walnut for some coffee, then doing some cooking and cleaning (like a good wife should ;)) then I'm going to Amber's couponing class in the evening! Should be a fun and filled day.
