Praise the Lord for everything. There are some things that can't be explained, but still praise be to Him. Praise Him for the easy things and all the more for the difficult ones. Praise Him for challenges to my faith and heart and lifestyle. I praise Him and thank Him for my husband and his encouragement to me in my walk with our Lord. I know that I'm eternally fortunate to have such a faithful and God-fearing husband. To try and walk this world without Nic, who is God's gracious gift to me, would be an even greater heartache.
I need to remember and embrace the rest my soul can have when I am resting in Jesus alone.
"Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; My hope comes from Him. He alone is my rock and my salvation; He is my fortress. I will not be shaken. My salvation and my honor depend on God, He is my mighty rock, my refuge. Trust in Him at all times, O people; Pour out your hearts to Him for our God is our refuge."
Psalm 62:5-8
